ALL THREE ORSONS

Jesus, the days I have seen.

ORSON #3 / FALSTAFF

Lord, Lord, how subject we old men are to this vice of lying. This same starved justice hath done nothing but prate to me of the wildness of his youth and every third word a lie.

ALL THREE ORSONS

We have heard the chimes at midnight.

ORSON #2 / OTHELLO

Speak of me as I am; nothing extenuate,
Nor set down aught in malice. Then must you speak
Of one that loved not wisely but too well….

ALL THREE ORSONS

Men in rage strike those that wish them best.

ORSON #1 / BRUTUS

O, that a man might know
The end of this day's business ere it come!
But it is enough to know that the day will end,
And then the end is known (5.1.133-136)

ALL THREE ORSONS

Never call a true piece of gold a counterfeit: Thou art essentially mad without seeming so.

ORSON #3 / FALSTAFF

To die is to be a counterfeit, for he is but the counterfeit of a man who hath not the life of a man. But to counterfeit dying when a man thereby liveth is to be no counterfeit but the true and perfect image of life indeed.
