ORSON #1:Then I heard her again.

ORSON #2: A voice in the dark.

ORSON #3: Speaking lines from Midsummer Night's Dream.

ALL THREE ORSONS: "Sometimes in the dead watches of the night,..."

ORSON #1:  "These antique fables apprehend, 

ORSON #2: More than cool reason comprehends."

ALL THREE ORSONS: "...it strikes me that of all my mistakes…,”

ORSON #2: "This stupid cake…”

ORSON #1 & #3: she said,

 ORSON #2: “…is just a cake.”

ORSON #1 & #3: Ah.

ORSON #2: “But the candles you blow out will never come back to you."

ALL THREE ORSONS: Just before my mother died, I made the greatest of mistakes."

ORSON #2: "You must puff hard,”

ORSON #1 & #3: she said,

ORSON #2: “And blow them all out. And you must make a wish."

ORSON #1 & #3: A wish!

ORSON #2: "A lovely boy stol'd from an Indian king."

ALL THREE ORSONS: Shakespeare

ORSON #2: “ I puffed and I blew.”

ORSON #3: “How I blew and I blew!”

ALL THREE ORSONS:"Whoever had so sweet a changeling?"

ORSON #1: “All of a sudden, the room…”

ORSON #2: “Suddenly the room went dark.”

ALL THREE ORSONS: “And mother had vanished forever.”
